Job Summary
As a Supply Manager, you will define and develop our supply strategy, onboard and manage suppliers from across the globe, and ensure compliance with international trade standards. Your expertise will enable us to expand our supplier base, improve product offerings, and enhance our position in the global market.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Supply Acquisition Strategy
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategy
Identify new supplier opportunities and categories for growth
Supplier Onboarding
Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new suppliers
Conduct due diligence, including risk assessments and compliance checks
Negotiate contracts and terms
International Trade Expertise
Stay up-to-date on international trade regulations, standards, and best practices
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Category Focus
Initial focus on fruits and vegetables from around the world
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the category, including market trends, quality standards, and logistics
Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
Monitor supplier performance, quality, and compliance through the early lifecycle
Hand off the relationship to the accounts team
Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, logistics, and quality assurance
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or international trade
Highly autonomous with analytical and problem solving skills
Proven track record in supplier acquisition and management
Strong understanding of international trade regulations and standards
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple tasks
Fluency in English (additional languages Spanish, Chinese, French, Dutch, German)
