Key Responsibilities:

Sales Generation:

  • Develop and execute strategies to onboard and partner with top UK wholesalers, caterers, food distributors and retailer chain stores such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, and Aldi, enhancing their offerings with our high-quality fresh produce and CPG goods.

  • Identify and approach potential customers in various settings (e.g., retail stores, national wholesale markets, events, trade shows, etc.). Utilise a strategic approach to target high-potential clients and sectors.

  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule. Monitor and adjust tactics to meet and exceed goals.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships. Foster long-term partnerships with key clients.

  • Handle customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally and implement strategies to retain existing customers and increase repeat business.

Market Research:

  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends in the industry.

  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.

Sales Administration:

  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports and provide feedback to the organisation on market trends, customer needs, and sales performance. Use data-driven insights to influence strategic planning.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.

Qualifications:

  • Professional sales or business development experience of at least 5 years, preferably in the B2B, Spitalfields Market, wholesale or retail space.

  • A strong network within the Fresh Produce markets such as Spitalfields Market is a huge plus. 

  • Have already established relationships with the above customer types and have previously been in sales to such customers

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Negotiating and sales experience with chain stores and wholesalers is a huge plus. 

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Proficient in analytical and math skills for handling cash transactions and strong sales acumen with a track record of achieving sales targets.

  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reliable and punctual with strong time management and organisational skills.
