Job Description: The Associate Engineering Manager is responsible for supporting the Engineering Manager in leading and managing the engineering team. This role involves assisting with overseeing engineering projects, mentoring team members, and maintaining efficient engineering processes and standards. The Associate Engineering Manager helps ensure high-quality software development and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Support & Leadership:

  • Assist the Engineering Manager in leading and managing the engineering team.

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers.

  • Create a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.

• Project Assistance:

  • Support the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.

  • Ensure project goals are aligned with business objectives and priorities.

  • Help identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.

• Technical Support:

  • Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team.

  • Assist in reviewing technical designs, architecture, and code.

  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.

  • Communicate engineering progress, challenges, and solutions to the Engineering Manager and other stakeholders.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and with other departments.

• Process Improvement:

  • Help implement and maintain efficient engineering processes and standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering.

• Experience in a leadership or mentorship role is preferred.

• Strong understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Advanced knowledge of software development tools and technologies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
